It’s no secret that the houseSeason 2 was much bigger than the first — HBO Max’s internal data shows the series averaged 15.4 million viewers over its first 90 days, 50 percent higher than Season 1 in 2025. The show logged more than 1 billion viewing minutes in Nielsen streaming ratings 12 times in the first 14 weeks of this season.
The year-over-year growth is even more evident in some new data from Nielsen – which appears every week from… the houseSeason 2 outperforms Season 1, sometimes more than double in the same week of Season 1.
The company’s regular weekly broadcast totals include all episodes of the series. For example, 1.13 billion minutes viewed for the house From April 6 to 12, includes the time viewers spent watching episodes from Season 1 and previous episodes from Season 2, as well as the episode that premiered that week. The new data isolates Season 2 totals and shows dramatic improvements year over year, especially during the middle of the season.
In weeks four through seven, season two of the house Weekly viewing time doubled from the previous year. Weeks three and eight came close, with 98 percent improvement each. The only week where Season 1 is within 10 percent of Season 2 is Week 14 — but that’s largely because Week 1 is Week 14 the house The two-episode series was to premiere in 2025, meaning the season finale debuted in week 14.
In 14 weeks, the second season of the house It generated 10.12 billion minutes of viewing time, according to Nielsen. That’s nearly 77 percent more than the first season’s 5.72 billion minutes.
From January 5 to April 12, all episodes of the series the house Accumulated 15.47 billion viewing minutes. Season 2 represents 65 percent of that total, with the percentage rising fairly steadily throughout the season. The season 2 premiere only made up about 35 percent of the weekly total for the January 5-11 period — which wasn’t surprising since it was only available for part of that week (it debuted on January 8) and was less than 10 percent of the series’ total running time at that point.
However, by the fourth week of this season, Season 2 made up the majority of its viewing time the house. As of week 11, the current season has garnered more than 75 percent of the series’ total viewership, according to Nielsen. The percentage dropped somewhat in the final week of the season, perhaps because viewers were doing some catch-up viewing in the first season.
