Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” is officially out, and fans are rushing to theaters to see his next big movie. Over the past couple of weeks, along with the actors and dialogue, cast members’ salaries have been a hotly debated aspect of the film.
Many are wondering how much some of Hollywood’s biggest stars who have all come together to retell the Greek film take for their business.Below are salary estimates for “The Odyssey” cast members.
How much do the cast of “The Odyssey” get paid?
Flick On Click recently reported that Matt Damon, who leads the film as the King of Ithaca, will receive the biggest paycheck of the cast, at $15 million. Damon is one of the central characters and appears in almost all scenes of the film.
Next in line is Tom Holland, who plays his son Telemachus, who earned around US$10 million from the film.Anne Hathaway and Robert Pattinson, who play Penelope, Odysseus’ wife, and Antinous, the arrogant suitor who tries to convince Penelope to marry him and abdicate, respectively. Charlize Theron, who plays Calypso in the film, is estimated to earn between $5 million and $6 million.
It is estimated that Zendaya, who last appeared with Pattinson in The Drama, is being paid around $5 million for her role as Athena in the film.Lupita Nyong’o and Benny Safdie are expected to earn salaries of US$1.5 million and US$2 million from the film, while Mia Goth is expected to earn around US$1 million and US$1.5 million. The Black Panther actress will play a dual role in the film as Helen of Troy and her sister Clytemnestra.
Safdie will play Agamemnon, a Greek commander. Goth will play the role of the maid Melantho, whose actions have caused chaos in the Kingdom of Ithaca.Elliot Page has been cast as Sinon, a brave Greek soldier and cousin of Odysseus who bravely fights alongside him in war during the Trojan War.
