Love Island in the USA Viewers will have to wait a little longer for the first fan vote of the season.
On Tuesday night, shortly after the seventh episode aired on Peacock, the show announced that voting had opened to fans on Peacock Love Island in the USA program. However, when some viewers went to vote, they were met with glitches and a message saying “Network error.”
“Vote tonight to choose which islanders the new Bombshells – Sol, Jen, and Caleb – should pair with! Voting starts at 10:30 PM ET/7:30 PM PT and closes at 1 AM ET/10 PM PT. Voting is open in the US only. Link in our bio,” Love Island in the USA It was posted on the official Instagram shortly after 7pm PT.
Fans were quick to express their frustration on social media. “Okay, I cut into my sleep time because this app doesn’t work!” one user wrote in the comments on the social post. Another person added: “Network error in the app, I’m going to lose it. Better extend this vote.” One fan also wrote on X: “Anyone else having trouble voting? Keeping things.” [sic] It says network error.”
Some people noticed on social media that voting eventually worked for them after re-downloading the app or continuing to update.
Hollywood Reporter I’ve reached out to Peacock for more information on when we expect the issue to be resolved.
Fan votes throughout the season allow viewers to shape the show by deciding which couples will stay, who will go on dates, and which islanders they would like to see repatriated.
New episodes of Love Island in the USA Low Thursday through Tuesday, with Love Island afternoon (hosted by Ciara Miller and creator Teffi Pessoa) airs every Saturday. Check all THR‘s Love Island in the USA Season 8 coverage and interviews are here.
