According to the report, The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond saw an overall Hindi occupancy of 11.99% on Friday, February 27, 2026.Meanwhile, according to a PTI report, ticket sales for the film are slow and are expected to pick up pace in the coming days in Kerala. Reportedly, at the PVR Theater in Lulu Mall in Thiruvananthapuram, only 68 tickets were sold till 10 am for the four shows scheduled for the day, according to BookMyShow figures.Meanwhile, in Kochi, Suresh, owner of the popular Shenoy Theatre, said there were about 50 percent bookings for the four shows scheduled during the day.
“Bookings are more for evening and night shows,” he told PTI.He said that the number of shows that will be shown in the coming days will be determined based on ticket sales for the first day. At the same time, Suresh also said that it was a slow start when the first film – ‘Kerala Story’ – was released in 2023. “Bookings have gone up slowly, and there has been a good collection,” he said.At the Crown Theater in Kozhikode, a similar trend was last seen in 2023, said its owner Vinod Iyer.
Bookings this time are “very bad” for the four shows scheduled at his theater for the day, Iyer told PTI.He said the reasons for this could be that reservations opened late on Friday, and people may be waiting for reviews before making a decision.
