Rob Reiner’s character, Albert Schnur, shared restaurant tips with Chef Ibra throughout the previous season. In the series finale, “The Original Beef of Chicagoland”, Ibra again calls the restaurant’s consultant to ask him about expanding the franchise.
During the call, the cook said: “Albert, we are working.” In response, he said, according to People magazine, “It’s perfect. I’ll get all the documents and email them to you right away.”

Rob Reiner, one of Hollywood’s most respected directors and actors, and his wife, Michelle Singer Reiner, died in December 2025. Reports ruled out their deaths as a homicide. The couple was found in their home in Brentwood, California. Their son, Nick, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
