If I tell you that Michael Fassbender is a traitor, that’s the truth. He betrayed his country. Did it cause harm? Yes. He lied to his friends and colleagues. He sacrificed people. He deserves his fate. And if he had to do it again, he wouldn’t hesitate – says CIA agent Martian (Fassbender) in the trailer for his film. Agency Season 2 (below).

The 10-episode second season of the Paramount+ series, a collaboration between Paramount Television Studios and David Glaser’s 101 Studios, premieres Sunday, June 21. It looks like this summer will be very lively.

“Betrayed, threatened and stalked by the woman he couldn’t save, ‘Martian’s world falls apart when a hunt for a mole plunges London station into chaos,’ reads the Season 2 description.

From Tehran to Africa, secret wars clash and continue, and “every move risks igniting a global firestorm. When loyalties are broken, truth becomes a weapon – and Martian’s only way out is depth.”

Don’t you hate it when that happens?

Plus Fassbender Agency It also stars Richard Gere, Jeffrey Wright, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Katherine Waterston.

Fassbender (the guy who played Steve Jobs in Steve Jobs) is also among several executive producers, as is George Clooney. Jez Butterworth and his brother John Henry Butterworth executive produce, as do Ron Burkle, David Hotkin, Bob Yari (for 101 Studios), Grant Heslov (for Smokehouse Pictures), Alex Berger (for TOP — The Originals Productions), Ashley Stern and Pascal Britton (for Union Studios/Federation Entertainment of America), Joe Wright and Keith Cox.
