Tara Sutaria is all set to walk the red carpet at the prestigious 2026 Cannes Film Festival for the first time, marking a milestone in her career. The 79th Cannes Film Festival is scheduled to run from May 12 to 23, 2026, and will witness some of India’s biggest names.
Tara Sutaria’s debut at Cannes is linked to ‘toxic’ momentum.
As reported by Hindustan Times, “Ahead of Toxic, Tara Sutaria is all set to make her debut at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, representing India on the global stage.”While Tara will not be attending Cannes to screen the film, the timing is clearly strategic. The report also added, “With the hype of ‘Toxic’, the debut at Cannes is expected to mark the beginning of a global phase in Tara’s career.”
Other Indian stars at Cannes 2026
Tara Sutaria will be in good company on the French Riviera. Indian stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Alia Bhatt are also expected to attend this year.
It is worth noting that director Payal Kapadia will be the president of the jury for the 65th Critics’ Week in Cannes, which runs from May 13 to 21.
