Tamil Blockbuster ‘Karuppu’ is set for global streaming on Amazon Prime Video

Amazon Prime Video has set June 12 for its worldwide premiere Caroboa Tamil fantasy action film that became the highest-grossing Tamil release in the Indian industry of 2026 so far.

Directed by RJ Balaji, Carobo The film blends mythology, courtroom drama and mass action spectacle, with Tamil star Suriya playing the popular guardian god Vittai Karuppu, who takes on human form as a lawyer to take on a corrupt legal system that preys on the poor. The cast also includes Trisha Krishnan and Indrance, with music by Sai Abhyankar.

On Prime Video, the film will stream in its original Tamil dubbing as well as Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada as well as a redubbed Telugu version. The streaming bow comes about four weeks after the theatrical release and slots into the Prime Video lineup ahead of Amazon’s Prime Day sales event in India in July.
