This kind of rage and rage I’ve faced in the last few years because my body changed postpartum and because I refuse to lose weight on strangers’ online timeline…is weird!”

“After having a baby (two and a half years ago now) I chose not to bounce back. Because once you have a baby — there’s no going back — you’re a parent for the rest of your life… Life changes fundamentally and that’s okay,” she shared. She added that while many women may miss who they were before pregnancy, forcing the body to conform to previous versions could be harmful. “Of course we miss our old lives, our young and free versions, our thin and hardened bodies, but to unconsciously continue to idealize our younger, thinner selves – to force our bodies to bounce back or forth and conform to the versions of your past that are gone, is kind of cruel.
Our bodies bore, bore, nurtured, gave birth to, and nourished another human being entirely.
Of course they will change and that’s okay!!!!! She added: “This constant pressure to look desirable in front of the camera, the Internet, or strangers, this constant shaming of women for carrying postpartum weight, and judging women for not losing weight or not wanting to lose it, is unintelligent and bad.”

“It’s nobody’s business”
Swara also addressed the constant pressure on women to appear a certain way, especially after childbirth, and the tendency to equate appearance with value.“This is no one’s business. Women should live their lives the way they want. No, this is not an argument against fitness. Or health. It’s an argument to honor our bodies and stop forcing ourselves to stay in the boxes we’ve outgrown. Life is a journey forward. And it’s okay to give our bodies that grace, too,” she explained, stressing that her stance is about choice, not neglect.
The actress concluded by emphasizing that her professional abilities have nothing to do with her physical appearance, explaining that traditional beauty standards do not define her craft.Note: “But you are an actor” There is no connection between gang heaviness and acting ability. Don’t fall into the trap of good looks they are essential to the trap of actors. They are not. Finesse and ability are important to be a good actor. Most of the best actors this country has ever produced have never been conventionally good looking! I said what I said.#Leave_mama_alone”
