According to the numbers reported by Sacnilk, Border 2 has so far grossed approximately Rs 447 crore worldwide. “I believe for the love of a father, God will ensure that we reach the Rs 500-crore mark,” Sunil added optimistically. Like his style in Border 2, Suniel admitted that he avoids watching Rahul play live matches. “I don’t watch the matches at all. Even though I am a cricket fan, I don’t watch them. I don’t even listen to the comments, but I understand what is happening from my wife, who is watching and reacting in the next room.

I watch the highlights later, because by then everything has settled down, otherwise I get very anxious.

“He’s my kid, and we just want him to do well.”He also explained the emotional impact of public scrutiny, adding: “It is also due to the era of constant comments. The comments that are made on you never affect you, but the ones that are made on our children do. From that point of view, I am not watching the game live.”
