The actor recently recounted the incident in one of the latest episodes of his podcast, where he shared more details about the matter.

Speaking on his podcast ‘One Bad Movie’, the actor revealed that he had a strange encounter at some point in his career. Baldwin stated that he was fired from the film for a very strange reason, and said, “It was when I was very young. I auditioned to play the sidekick, almost Jennifer Aniston’s boyfriend.”The 60-year-old also mentioned that he was originally cast as Vince McBride in The Object of My Affection.
The role was for Nina Porowski’s friend, played by Jennifer Aniston. “After lunch, this producer comes to my trailer and says, ‘There’s a problem,'” he added. You can’t be more fun than Jennifer.”He added that at first he assumed they were joking; However, they later gave him further instructions on how to pronounce his words on screen to the camera, leaving him confused.
After feeling “torn, castrated, and comical,” the actor also shared that he kept wondering, “You hired me to play a role, and now you’re asking me not to play that role.”

After lunch was over and it was time to get everyone back on track, he was informed that he had been cut from the movie. “They let me go. They told me I could go home. It was great, but it was embarrassing.”
