A movie starring both Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan are finally in the making. On Thursday, Red Giant Movies finally hinted that the Tamil stars will star together in the much-awaited film. The last time the duo worked together was 47 years ago, and fans are excited to finally get an update on the film that has been out since last year.
Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan’s film has finally been hinted at
Red Giant Movies on Thursday hinted at this Rajinikanth and Kamal will finally share the screen. They wrote, “Two legends. One frame. Next update at 12:07 tomorrow. #KHxRK #RedGiant17.” KH and RK written on the poster with an old car was confirmation enough for fans, as was the caption that read: “Some men make the rules, some men just rule.”
On Thursday morning, they teased the announcement by releasing a poster that read, “When the stars align, don’t choose sides.” Immediately, many fans guessed that the announcement would be about Kamal and Rajinikanth finally sharing the screen together, as they promised. Some fans believe that Nelson will direct it, while others believe that it will be Lokesh Kanagaraj.
“Some men make the rules…and some men just rule. And these two? They defined the eras,” one fan commented on the poster. “King and Emperor. One frame. Zero rules,” another wrote. One excited fan even commented, “Thalaivar X Nayagan is coming”, guessing who the announcement was.
When Rajinikanth Kamal Haasan raised the cooperation
Speaking to the press in September last year, Rajinikanth had said, “We are going to do a film with Raaj Kamal Films International and Red Giant Movies. The director is yet to be decided. Kamal and I want to make a film together. If we get a story and a role, we will act.”
Kamal also spoke about it at SIIMA and said, “We don’t know if it’s Tharamana Sambavam (a great event), but it’s good that the audience loves it. If they are happy, we will love it. Otherwise, we will keep trying. This has been coming for a long time. We were separated because they gave one biscuit to both of us. But half a biscuit makes us happy, so we will come together.”
In October, Shruti Haasan and Soundarya Rajinikanth were asked about their father’s collaboration. Shruti replied, “We also hope so. We are also waiting like you.” “It would be true if our parents give the update. But for sure, Appa will be working in Kamal uncle’s banner (Raaj Kamal Films International). What kind of film it will be, all these details are a work in progress. So, Thaliva himself will reveal it soon,” Soundarya added.
Rajinikanth and Kamal are also collaborating for another film directed by him Sippy Chakaravarthi. The film is produced by Raya Kamal and will star Rajinikanth.
