Smriti Mandhana’s father, Shrinivas Mandhana, was released from the hospital on Monday morning after his health worsened over the weekend. The procedure was carried out on Sunday, November 23, in Sangli, which is the hometown of the Indian cricketer. This was the same day when Smriti and musician-filmmaker Palaash Muchhal were supposed to get married.
Shrinivas Mandhana is now in a stable condition; the angiography results show no blockages.
According to a report from the hospital shared by India TV, Shrinivas’ condition is now fully stable and he is no longer in critical condition.
As part of his medical tests, doctors conducted an angiography, which did not show any blockages. This has brought a great deal of relief to the Mandhana family.
Due to the unexpected medical emergency, Smriti and Palaash’s wedding was postponed indefinitely.
So far, neither of the families has announced any new date for the event.
What caused this?
A sudden health issue
Smriti’s manager, Tuhin Mishra, had previously stated that Shrinivas’ health suddenly declined during breakfast.
“This morning, when Smriti’s father was having breakfast, his health started to worsen. We waited for a while and thought he would be okay. But when his condition continued to deteriorate, we called an ambulance and took him to the hospital, where he is now being observed,” Mishra explained.
