Following the 2026 Actor Awards, Catherine O’Hara was named Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in studio, Seth Rogen, co-creator of the show, took to the stage to accept the offer on her behalf.
“I have been asked to officiate in accepting this award on O’Hara’s behalf. I know she would have been honored to receive this award from fellow artists whom I know she has great respect for. She has been a huge fan of all of you,” Rogen told the audience.
Rogen noted that he has been thinking about the time he has spent working with her since her death several weeks ago. “The thing I’ve just been marveling at over the past few weeks is her ability to be gracious and kind and generous while never diminishing her talents and her ability to contribute to the work that we were doing,” he said. “She knew she could destroy, and she wanted to destroy every day on set.”

We were fortunate to live in a world in which she shared her talents with us publicly.

O’Hara died on January 30 at the age of 71 at her home in Los Angeles of a pulmonary embolism. She also had rectal cancer.

Later Sunday night, the series also won Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. Cast members who received the award include Ike Barinholtz, Kathryn Hahn, O’Hara, Rogen, and Chase Sui Wonders.
