After a number of leaks from the sets of ‘King’, the makers of the Shah Rukh Khan-led film are reportedly trying their best to tighten security measures. The Siddharth Anand directorial returned to the headlines this week after a 15-minute AI-generated clip, using leaked photos, videos and paparazzi stills, spread across the internet.

The clip came after a series of leaks of the film’s on-location stills, including first looks of the character and visuals from some photo shoots with Deepika Padukone and other action scenes featuring Abhishek Bachchan, were posted online. According to reports, a fan put together a leaked video with paparazzi footage to give fans a “miniature version” of the film. Since it was shared online, news reports claim that the production team, with the help of fans, collectively reported the video and removed it from several social media platforms.

Filmed in public places, “the AI editing pushed the boundaries as it attempted to recreate the film’s story.”The insider also revealed that security has been significantly tightened as per the current shooting schedule near Godbunder Road on the outskirts of Mumbai.
“The film is set in Mumbai and it is a crowded area, so removing phone access will not help much. But movement in action portions and crucial scenes has become very restricted,” the report said.

‘King’ will finish filming by July
With much of the film completed, the team is now said to be in its “final phase” and is just two months away from wrapping production. “There is still a lot of tinkering, motion inserts, and other scheduling to be done, with visual effects work continuing simultaneously. The film is looking to be completed by the end of July,” the report read.

The film is currently scheduled to be released during the Christmas holidays – December 24, 2026. The film is one of the most anticipated films of the year. However, it will be released amid a tight release window, arriving just one week after the Marvel superhero film “Avengers: Doomsday” and the final chapter in the “Dune” saga. The film will also face competition from “Jumanji 3” at the international box office.
