Paramount+ YA drama School spirits He will continue to haunt the halls of high school (and beyond).

The broadcast has been renewed School spirits For the fourth season. The pickup comes about three weeks after Season 3 ended with a major change for many of its characters.

The series follows Maddie (Peyton List), a teenager who suddenly finds herself in the afterlife and haunting the halls of her high school. She and her classmates were trapped in the school until the end of season three, when the barrier keeping them there was destroyed.

The show’s cast also includes Christian Ventura, Spencer McPherson, Chiara Pichardo, Sarah Yarkin, Nick Pugliese, Rainbow Weedle, Josh Zuckerman, Maria Dizia, Si Hang Ma, Miles Elliott, and Milo Manheim.

YA programming is experiencing a renaissance like many other streaming shows, but for now School spirits – And focus on youth Star Trek: Starfleet Academywhich will end after its second season — is the only original series on Paramount+ that fits that bill.

Nate Trenrod and Megan Trenrod were created School spirits and act as co-runners. Oliver Goldstick (Pretty Little Liars, Bridgerton), who served as director of the series in previous seasons, will return as a consultant for season four. Trinruds and List are executive producers on the show from Paramount TV Studios.
