Lawyer Vineet Jindal took to his account His post read: “Under this petition filed by the Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, I seek appropriate action against individuals, religious organizations and political parties involved in organizing illegal public screenings of the film.

Such shows are allegedly used to promote violence and spread hatred against the community as well as security agencies. He further urged the authorities to take strict action and formally file FIRs against those holding screenings, as it is illegal to screen a film that has not been approved for certification. “Such illegal acts pose a serious threat to peace, public order and communal harmony in Punjab.
