Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman are two witch sisters and witches who pass their magical skills on to their children in the trailer for the movie practical magic 2, Which dropped on Monday and is directed by Susanne Bier (The perfect couple, bird box).
Bullock and Kidman reprise their roles from the 1998 original film, which follows orphaned sisters Sally and Gillian Owens as they are raised by their witch aunts Aunt Jett (Dianne Wiest) and Aunt Frannie (Stockard Channing). After avoiding magic for most of their lives, the pair work to learn how to use their powers to ward off a curse that threatens the women in the family for generations from finding love, and leaves the men they fall in love with dead.
“Everyone we love dies,” Bullock says at one point in the teaser. Kidman then adds: “It’s a really terrible death. I mean it’s just – it’s not great for a Tinder bio.” Wiest and Stockard also return to the repackaged Coven for the long-awaited sequel, alongside new cast members Joey King, Lee Pace, Maisie Williams, Zulu Mariduena, and Sully McLeod.

Adapted from the novel titled Book of magic By Alice Hoffman Pierre directed from the screenplay penned by Akiva Goldsman and Georgia Pritchett. Dennis DeNovi, Bullock and Kidman share production credits, while Andrew Kossoff, Broderick Johnson, Donald Sabourin and Hoffman are the executive producers.
