Comedian and actor Russell Brand has pleaded not guilty to two additional charges of rape and sexual assault.
The 50-year-old appeared at Southwark Crown Court in central London on Tuesday to enter his plea relating to two alleged incidents with two separate women in the British capital in 2009.
In May last year, Brand pleaded not guilty to five other charges. These alleged crimes relate to a rape that occurred in 1999 in the Bournemouth area of the United Kingdom. indecent assault on a woman in 2001 in Westminster, London; the oral rape and sexual assault of a woman in 2004, also in Westminster; and sexually assaulting another woman in Westminster between 2004 and 2005. A trial date has been set for June 3.
The BBC reported that a hearing will be held to determine whether new charges should be added to that case. An administrative hearing on that will be held in March.

Brand strongly denies the allegations against him. Since these accusations surfaced, he converted to Christianity and was baptized. Detectives began investigating in September 2023 after receiving a number of allegations, which followed Channel 4 reports Missionaries and Sunday Times.
