Rukmini Vasanth Reacts to Viral AI Photo Controversy, 'Kantara' Actress Says Fake Photos Are Serious Invasion of Privacy

Actress Rukmini Vasanth has responded strongly after some AI-generated photos falsely claiming to depict her started circulating online. The actress issued an official statement condemning the misuse of artificial intelligence to create manipulated content.

She also confirmed that her team is taking the issue seriously and has already started taking legal and cybercrime action against those responsible. The incident has once again raised concerns about the growing misuse of AI technology and deepfake content targeting celebrities on social media platforms.

Rukmini Vasanth explains that the viral AI images are completely fake

Sharing her statement publicly, Rukmini Vasanth wrote: “My team and I have come across some AI-generated images circulating online claiming to be me.

“I want to make it clear that these photos are completely fake and fabricated,” she added. “Creating and distributing such manipulated content is highly irresponsible and a serious violation of privacy.” The actress also revealed that legal steps are now being taken against those involved in creating and disseminating the photos.

“We are taking this matter seriously and are initiating necessary legal and cybercrime action,” she said, while asking people not to share or engage with such misleading content online.

Deepfake incidents continue to trouble movie celebrities

Rukmini Vasanth and her team also urged the media, fan pages and digital platforms to act responsibly and avoid amplifying false information. The actress’s statement quickly received support from fans and industry followers, many of whom expressed their appreciation for her speaking out about the issue. In recent years, several leading actresses, including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, and Rashmika Mandanna, have become victims of artificial intelligence-generated or fake content online.

Such incidents have increased calls for strict cyber regulations and enhanced digital safety for celebrities.
