‘Reacher’ releases early renewal pass for Season 5 on Prime Video

It’s no surprise that Prime Video is holding on to one of its biggest offerings.

The Amazon-owned streaming company has ordered a fifth season of the series The arrival. The capture comes ahead of the series’ fourth season, which is scheduled to premiere later this year. Prime Video announced the renewal a few hours before it premiered in advance on Monday evening.

Alan Ritchson will reprise his role as Jack Reacher in Season 5, but Prime Video is holding off on sharing details about the upcoming season, including which Lee Child’s Reacher novels will be the source material. Nick Santora remains the showrunner.

“From Lee Child’s universally beloved novels to their outstanding screen adaptations, The arrival “It has evolved into a real strong franchise,” said Peter Friedlander, head of global television at Amazon MGM Studios. “The series’ ability to combine high-octane action with compelling personal storytelling continues to resonate with tens of millions of viewers around the world. We’re excited to move forward with Season 5 before Season 4 debuts and to build on this incredible momentum. We’re grateful to our outstanding creative partners, cast and crew — Nick, Alan, Lee, Skydance and CBS Studios — for continuing to bring this world to life in such a bold and compelling way.”

Season four of The arrival Depends on Gone tomorrowthe thirteenth book in the Children’s series on independent problem solving. The log reads: “When a chance encounter with a distraught stranger on the subway goes horribly wrong, Jack Reacher is drawn into a complex and deadly game that pits him against ruthless enemies from the highest levels of power.” The season 4 cast includes Chris Marquette, Sydelle Noel, Agnes Moe, Anjun, Kevin Weissman, Mark Blucas, Kevin Corrigan, and Kathleen Robertston.

Paramount TV Studios and Amazon MGM Studios produce The arrival. Santora executive produces with Child, Richeson, Don Granger, Scott Sullivan, Mick Betancourt, Lisa Cosner, Sam Hill, Amy Pucha and Seth Cohen.
