The scholarship initiative supports young students
The event in which the video was recorded was organized by the Deverakonda Foundation. The initiative focused on honoring academic excellence among public school students.Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna traveled to Thummanpet (Telangana) to participate in the show. The village is special to Vijay Deverakonda’s family as it is his father’s birthplace.
As part of the initiative, merit scholarships were distributed to those holding the first and second ranks studying in the ninth and tenth grades, and students from 45 government schools benefited from the program.

Another video from the event also gained attention online. In it, Vijay Deverakonda says: “In the coming years… we will provide scholarships to outstanding students all over Telangana. This is my dream.”Rashmika also spent time interacting with the children and encouraged them to continue learning and growing through successes and setbacks.
After the event, Vijay Deverakonda shared a heartfelt message on social media, looking back at the first year of the scholarship programme.He wrote in his post, “Another good day. Just concluded the first year of scholarships for 45 schools – 180 students. Looking forward to seeing you all again in 2027 and June will make it even bigger. Lots of love from all of us.
