Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ have proven to be historic hits, be it at the box office or just making an impact everywhere. It has been 20 days since the release of Part 2 and the film is still the talk of the town.
While Ranveer Singh has bagged accolades for his performances in films like ‘Bajirao Mastani’, ‘Padmaavat’, ’83’ and others, the ‘Dhurandhar’ franchise has put him in a completely different category. In a recent interview, the film’s co-star revealed that Ranveer emerges as a completely different person after the film. Many also pointed to a shift in his public behaviour, with some speculating that the controversy surrounding ‘Kantara’ ahead of his first ‘Dhurandhar’ may have played a role in the change. His co-star Manav Gohil shared his perspective on the transformation. He said in an interview with Hindi Rush, “I think Ranveer is currently at a very important stage in his life, he is going through a transitional phase. He has become a father and the face of one of the most historic films. He is already a big star and a great actor – he deserves everything he has today. I am sure there is a bigger plan behind his choices. If you notice, his clothes, his media presence – everything has changed.”
His behavior has evolved. It is now seen with a more organized and well-designed look. “He feels like a different person.”When asked about the Kantara controversy, Manav added: “Ranveer is not just a star in India, but globally. I am sure he has become more responsible in dealing with his stardom. There are people who guide these decisions, and Deepika Padukone herself is a very wise woman.”Meanwhile, ‘Dhurandhar’ proved to be a huge hit at the box office, collecting around Rs 1,300 crore worldwide and Rs 1,000 crore nett in India. It became the first Indian film to cross this mark in India.
