FWICE has issued a non-cooperation direction against Ranveer Singh over his exit from ‘Don 3’, after he failed to respond to three formal notices. Ranveer’s spokesperson said he chose to remain silent with dignity. FWICE president BN Tiwari declared that no one, not even the star, is above the rules of the industry.

Ranveer Singh has now responded after the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) issued a non-cooperation directive against him regarding his exit from Don 3, as reports of rising tensions between actor and director Farhan Akhtar continue to dominate industry talks. On Monday, FWICE reported that despite sending multiple reminders, Ranveer has repeatedly failed to appear before the body to address the matter and participate in discussions regarding his exit from the project.

Ranveer Singh’s official spokesperson issues a statement on the controversy surrounding the film ‘Don 3’.

Now, Ranveer’s official spokesperson has issued a statement saying, “Ranveer Singh holds the highest regard for the film fraternity and everyone associated with the Don franchise. Throughout the recent developments surrounding Don 3, he has consciously chosen to maintain silence, believing that professional discussions and personal equations are best handled with dignity, maturity and mutual respect.”

“Despite numerous accounts and speculations surfacing over time, Ranveer has never considered it necessary to respond publicly or contribute to conjecture. His focus remains firmly on his work and upcoming commitments. He continues to have deep respect and goodwill for all involved and sincerely hopes for the continued success of the series. Choosing restraint and grace in such moments has always been a conscious decision on his part, and he will continue to maintain the same stance,” his spokesperson concluded.

FWICE issues non-cooperation directives against Ranveer Singh over ‘Don 3’ exit.

More than five months after Farhan Akhtar filed a formal complaint against Ranveer Singh over his exit from Don 3, FWICE on Monday announced a non-cooperation directive against the actor, marking a major development in the ongoing feud between the two.At a press conference, FWICE Senior Advisor and President of the Film and Television Directors Association of India, Ashoke Pandit, laid out the sequence of events that led to the union’s decision.

Pandit traced the issue back to April 11, when Farhan Akhtar first filed a formal FWICE complaint against Ranveer Singh. Pandit also revealed that the complaint alleged that Ranveer had withdrawn from Don 3 just three weeks before leaving the filming unit, causing major disruption to the project.Following standard procedures, FWICE invited producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar to present their side of the story. While Sidhwani attended the meeting in person, Farhan joined virtually from London.

Pandit explained that FWICE followed due process and made every effort to listen to both parties before arriving at a decision.

Ranveer Singh has ignored three official notices sent by FWICE regarding the ‘Don 3’ row.

Pandit revealed that FWICE sent three official notices to Ranveer Singh, none of which received a response. He added that it was only after the federation announced the press conference that Ranveer’s team finally reached out via email, questioning FWICE’s jurisdiction in the matter and asserting that the federation had no grounds to intervene in the dispute. With the representative failing to make an official appearance or offer any resolution, FWICE deliberated internally before reaching its final decision.FWICE Chairman BN Tiwari stressed that the case went beyond a personal dispute between an actor and a producer and directly affected the livelihoods of thousands of workers in the film industry.“When a film is made, thousands of workers get work. When the film stops suddenly, budding artistes and daily wage laborers also suffer financial losses,” Tiwari said.

FWICE says even the star is not above the industry’s rules and regulations

Tiwari stressed that FWICE represents a cross-section of the industry, including technicians, artists and producers, and does not take sides in disputes. He added that no amount of fame or stardom exempts anyone from following the rules and regulations of the industry.“A strong message must be sent to the industry. Even if someone is a star, he is not above rules and regulations,” he said. After making the federation’s decision official, Tiwari confirmed that FWICE has issued a non-cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh with immediate effect, and urged all affiliated craft and production bodies to stand in solidarity with the move until the issue is officially resolved.“The federation issues a non-cooperation directive against Ranveer starting now and none of our members will work with him,” Tiwari announced.
