Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana has been the talk of the town since the beginning. On Saturday, the launch event of the film Pratham Sankalp, held in the national capital, made headlines once again.
The entire cast of Ramayana attended the event, where an exclusive trailer was shown ahead of its global release at Comic-Con. During the ceremony, several moments stuck with the audience, such as Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi’s appearance together and their interaction with the media. However, the moment that melted hearts was when Ranbir Kapoor was seen bending down to touch the feet of poet Kumar Vishwas and the actor.

Role of Sunny Deol and Kumar Vishwas in the film
Sunny Deol plays Lord Hanuman in the film and was seen sporting a sharp and clean look at the event.
Meanwhile, Kumar Vishwas wrote the lyrics for the film’s soundtrack, collaborating with composers AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer.

Ranbir Kapoor plays the role of Lord Rama, while Sai Pallavi plays the role of Goddess Sita in the film. Moreover, Yash takes on the character of Ravana, Sunny Deol plays the role of Lord Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey plays the role of Lord Lakshman. Completing the cast are Lara Dutta, Rakul Preet Singh, Kajal Aggarwal, and Vivek Oberoi, among others. The film is said to come with a budget of around Rs 4,000 crore, with the first part hitting theaters on Diwali 2026 and the second part after Diwali 2027.
