In a candid interview, Yadav recalled losing his father while shooting the film and then receiving the devastating news of veteran comedian Asrani’s death soon after the film wrapped. Although he was unable to attend Asrani’s funeral due to his personal responsibilities at home, Yadav paid tribute to his long-time co-star, calling him “immortal” and one of the most important legends of Indian cinema in the last 100 years. Recently, Rajpal has been facing a difficult patch. While shooting for Bhooth Bangla, he lost his father, and soon after the film was over, his dear friend Asrani passed away. Recalling the emotional period, Rajpal shared that he had dinner with Asrani at another place, where they enjoyed laughter and good moments. However, he could not attend the last rites of the veteran actor as he had to perform his duty as a son.

Rajpal Yadav talks openly about emotional struggles

Speaking to News18, Yadav said that on one hand, the shooting of the film was going on, and on the other hand, his father was admitted to the ICU. His father died while filming the film, and he received news of Asrani shortly after the film finished. He stated that he had a meal with Asrani but was unable to attend his last rites because he was at home.

Yadav also said, “I have watched him since childhood and later worked with him in many films. Truly, wherever Mr. Asrani is, the entire unit can attest that he will light up the atmosphere. Mr. Asrani is immortal. If you list 100 names from the last 100 years, Mr. Asrani will be one of the most important legends among them. He is immortal and will always remain so.
