In an earlier interview with MidDay, Priyadarshan spoke about Rajpal’s situation, saying that he had asked the producers of his upcoming film to increase the actor’s remuneration “due to his situation” and that they “want to save him”.
He also noted that Rajpal “made a huge mistake due to his poor education”, while describing him as a “good soul”.In his sharp reaction, Rajpal told SCREEN, “This is completely wrong. Priyanji does not know me. I am a well-educated man, working from the age of 11 to 55 years. Even the biggest devotees get into trouble at some point, but this has nothing to do with their education. If I were poorly educated, I would not have been able to stay here for 25 to 30 years.”

Despite his disagreement, the actor maintained respect for the director. “I respect three directors a lot, Mr. Ram Gopal Varma,

And Priyadarshan. I look forward to them. I’ve done over 50 films with just the three of them. Bad teaching does not apply here because there is another intention. I am like Priyanji’s son. When he asks me, I would love to audition for him as an actor for life. “But Priyanji or anyone from Bollywood doesn’t know the whole story, so any judgments they make are worthless,” he added.
