Rajpal Yadav caught attention by surrendering in Tihar Jail over a long-standing check bounce case. Released on bail, he recently joined Farah Khan on her YouTube vlog to share his experiences in prison and express gratitude to his supporters.
During the vlog, Farah visited the home of Saket Sawhney, Rajpal’s manager and close friend, along with her long-time cook Dilip.
Before the meeting, the director and choreographer enthused: “He is the most talented, very funny and one of the most seasoned actors in the industry.”

How were you treated there? Like any normal young man, or did you receive special treatment because of your stardom? Did you have your fans there?
Rajpal Yadav on prison discipline
“I won’t say there were fans or not, but the discipline and laws created for this space were strictly followed,” Rajpal replied. “You’re dealing with it in such a philosophical way,” Khan said, impressed by his look. “You’re not showing any bitterness. You’re just like I had to go, I went, I did what I had to do and I got out of that place. Like this is all karma, and you can’t escape it. Were you feeling frustrated or angry about all this?”
“No, I have learned to live in all kinds of conditions,” said Rajpal, who comes from a humble background. Farah Khan agreed and said, “Haan, that one over there. He’s always laughing and smiling. He always gives every actor a run for their money.”
Rajpal Yadav praises Indian cinema
Yadav then revealed what strengthened his resilience during tough times: “Just imagine the joy, if there are 800 crore people in the world, Indian cinema rules at least 600 crore hearts.
Because of this medium, even those who do not know me by name know me by my face and know that I am a Bollywood actor. Cinema gave me a lot. Hence, if I encounter any problem today, I will stay within the film community and cooperate in all kinds of actions until the truth comes out.

Probing further, Farah asked: “Tell me one thing, Rajpal, when you were inside the prison, were you assigned any kind of kitchen duties or any other work?” “Nothing at all,” Rajpal replied.
Fortunately, things did not come to this point. But they kept proper discipline, followed the rules and imprisoned me. “So when you came out, did you notice how many people were standing up to support you?” she continued. He stressed: “The whole world was standing with me.

There are also fifty other people who were just as helpful but never showed up on social media or posted about it.
They helped physically, emotionally and financially, but never came out in the open. So, the people who came out on social media for their own good, I thank them too. But the people who did come out on social media to help me, I thank them all.”

Sonu Sood took a crackdown on
Sometimes life gets unfair, not because of talent, but because the timing can be brutal. He will be a part of my film, and I think this is the right moment for all of us… producers, directors and colleagues to stand together. A small signing amount, which can be adjusted for future work, is not charity, but dignity.
When one of us is going through a tough time, the industry needs to remind us that we are not alone. This way we show that we are more than just an industry.”
Rajpal Yadav talks about his work ethic
However, Rajpal set the record straight with SCREEN: “Please get over the misconception that I need to keep asking for work. There is no shame in asking for work. I live by my job, cinema is my passion, and I work in such a way that I get four times more work. I even work on vacations. Work doesn’t find me. It has lived with me for the last 11 years.” It surprised many, including Sonu Sood, but he thoughtfully replied to HT City: “Happy for him.
I didn’t say it needed work. “I said, ‘Sign him and pay up front because he deserves it.’”
