As director Rajkumar Hirani gears up for his online debut with ‘Pritam And Pedro’, he has broken his silence on the rumors surrounding an upcoming film with Ranbir Kapoor while also giving a much-awaited update on the much-awaited sequels to ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘Munna Bhai’.
Rajkumar Hirani denies reports related to Ranbir Kapoor’s film
Reports have been doing the rounds for a while that Rajkumar Hirani was developing a film based on the life of an athlete with Ranbir Kapoor. Some reports even indicated that the project has been postponed to 2027 due to scheduling conflicts and an incomplete script. However, the director has now put these rumors aside.Speaking to News18, Rajkumar Hirani said, “No, I am not making anything with Ranbir at the moment. But I would love to work with him again. I have read reports that we are making a film. Many times, I look at newspapers and get to know about the films I am making, which makes me wonder ki abb yeh kahan se aaya (laughs)!”Rajkumar Hirani and Ranbir Kapoor previously collaborated on ‘Sanju’, the popular biopic of actor Sanjay Dutt.

However, the director clarified that its release timelines entirely depend on when the scripts are ready.He said, “Everything is in the writing stage right now. Both films will happen. But it all depends on when the scripts are ready.”
