People broke the news that the couple was expecting their first child together in April. Plaza spoke publicly about the pregnancy for the first time on the “SmartLess” podcast while chatting with hosts Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Sean Hayes. “Well, there’s a kid inside of me,” the “Parks and Recreation” star shared, adding of motherhood, “I’ve always wanted, I’ve always wanted, I’ve always wanted to see what this is all about, you know? It sounds very interesting, this whole thing.”

Abbott first addressed the news while being interviewed alongside “Death of a Salesman” co-star Nathan Lane. Asked if he could be congratulated, Abbott smiled and replied: “You can,” before joking when the pregnancy was clarified: “I thought you meant my Tony.” He then admitted he had a lot to celebrate lately, adding: “It’s overrated. This is so beautiful. Thank you so much, it’s so exciting.”
