Actor Ravi Mohan’s house in Chennai has become the center of theft investigations after valuables reportedly went missing from his house. The case involves the alleged theft of a diamond necklace and cash worth Rs 2.5 lakh from the actor’s residence in Injambakkam.
Following a police investigation, the actor’s driver, Rajesh, was arrested in connection with the incident. This development attracted attention because the investigation moved quickly after the complaint was filed.
The police tracked down the suspect through investigation
According to Thanthi TV, Ravi Mohan filed a complaint with Neelankarai police after a diamond necklace and Rs 2.5 lakh cash were discovered missing from his house on June 22. Based on the complaint, the police registered a social report and launched an investigation.
Officers individually questioned employees and drivers working at the actor’s home. During the investigation, suspicions were reportedly falling on the driver, Rajesh, prompting the police to intensify their questioning.
The money was recovered, and the accused was transferred to judicial custody
During investigation, Rajesh allegedly confessed to embezzling Rs 2.5 lakh in cash. The money was later returned to Ravi Mohan, police said. Despite his recovery, officials continued legal action against the accused.
Neelankarai police formally arrested Rajesh on charges of theft, produced him before the court and then remanded him to judicial custody. The investigation into the missing diamond necklace is expected to continue while police examine all aspects of the case.
