The theme of the Met Gala Monday is all about fashion, but Sabrina Carpenter used her look to pay homage to one movie in particular.
The Grammy winner appeared in Christian Dior and Chopard jewelry at the 2026 Met Gala, wearing ribbons upon ribbons of vintage camera film from the 1954 Audrey Hepburn film Sabrina. Shots of Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart, and William Holden were present in many of the miniature film strips that adorned Carpenter’s appearance, adding to the old Hollywood glamor and glamor of her appearance.
Carpenter has tapped into this aesthetic frequently, recently basing her Coachella headliner around vintage Hollywood iconography and billing herself as “Sabrinawood.” On Monday, she upped her mint aesthetic by cleverly incorporating movie elements that matched her name.
