Nearly two decades after their high-profile teen romance ended in heartbreak, photos of Miley Cyrus and Nick Jonas have resurfaced online, and fans of the former flames can’t quite keep calm. “Naly,” as they were affectionately called by fans in their teenage days, hit fans with a wave of nostalgia on Wednesday morning when Laura Ruddy shared a 2007 photo of the former couple. She posted the cute photo from when Nick and Miley were dating, writing: “I took this photo in 2007.”

Fans quickly flocked to the comments section and celebrated the return of the photo, which was officially shared for the first time today. When fans started commenting on how Nick looked wearing the same outfit in another throwback photo, another social media user going by the name TLC responded, “Just found photos of @MileyCyrus and @nickjonas that I took in June 2007 – kitchen of Woodbridge house.

Cyrus and Jonas were Disney fans. They first met in 2006 and started dating ‘that day [they] met,” Cyrus claimed in an interview with Seventeen magazine. Their relationship quickly became one of the most talked-about romances with Nick and the Jonas Brothers even appearing as a guest on Miley’s hit series, “Hannah Montana.” The couple dated for two months before their romance sadly ended.
Reflecting on their breakup at the time, Cyrus told Seventeen that they “loved each other.” He also added, “We still did it, but we loved each other. For two years, it was basically 24/7.”

After the breakup, Nick continued to date fellow Disney Channel star Selena Gomez from 2008 until 2010, sparking a messy “love triangle” between the trio, and Miley even dropped the hit song “7 Things,” in which she not only wore the necklace Nick gave her, but also addressed the triangle in the lyrics of “You Love Me, You Love Her…” about the love triangle of Miley, Nick, and Selena.Years later, Jennifer Stone, who starred alongside Gomez on Wizards of Waverly Place, shed light on the situation during an episode of the Wizards of Waverly Pod podcast with David DeLuise.
