Peter Alexander, NBC News’ veteran chief White House correspondent and co-anchor of the Saturday edition of the program today Show, is leaving the network.

Although it’s not immediately clear where Alexander is headed, there is speculation in the business that he could be in the mix for the 11am slot on MS NOW, which was clearly left open amid a major lineup overhaul announced last week.
A spokesperson for MS Now declined to comment.
Alexander has been at NBC News for 20 years, has been the network’s chief White House correspondent since 2023, and has served as White House correspondent and national correspondent for NBC since 2012. He co-anchors the Saturday edition of the NBC News show.And today Since 2018.
