Paresh Rawal exits 'Hera Pheri 3', returns signing amount with 15 percent interest: Report

Hera Pheri 3 has been in the spotlight since its announcement, but not always for positive reasons. Just when it seemed that the earlier controversies surrounding the film had been resolved, new reports now suggest that Paresh Rawal has once again distanced himself from the much-awaited comedy sequel.According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, Paresh Rawal allegedly returned his signing amount for the film along with 15 percent interest and some additional compensation. A source told the portal, “His total fees have been locked at Rs 15 crore. The term sheet stated that Paresh Rawal will get the remaining amount, Rs 14.89 crore, just a month after the film’s release. The senior actor had reservations about this condition.”

Principal photography for the film is also scheduled to begin sometime next year. This means that Hera Pheri 3 is unlikely to be released before late 2026 or in 2027. In short, Parrish had to wait almost two years to get the rest of his acting fees. However, there has been no official confirmation from the actor or the film team regarding these claims. The report also stated that the teaser of Hera Pheri 3 was shot on the sets of Bhooth Bangla.

Earlier, while speaking to Shubhankar Mishra, Akshay Kumar also addressed the uncertainty surrounding the project. He said, “Hera phere 3 abhi velhal toh nahi ban rahi… muhi khud jhatka laga tha. Koi baat nahi, hi bana li. Thuda kuch mantra padna badega ke sab theke ho gaye. Abhi ek sal toh nahi hain. Uski bhoot sare issues hain, aisa nahi hi humki tino.” [actors] Saath nahi hain.”For those who don’t know, the original Hera Pheri, based on the 1989 Malayalam film Ramji Rao Talking, became a surprise hit and later achieved cult status as one of India’s most beloved comedy films. Its 2006 sequel, Phir Hera Pheri, directed by the late Neeraj Vora, brought back the hilarious adventures of Raju, Shyam and Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, the characters played by Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty and Paresh Rawal respectively. Although little is officially known about Hera Pheri 3 at the moment, fans are still eagerly waiting to meet the adorable trio on screen.
