Paramount’s growing Paramount Sports Entertainment (PSE) unit, which is headed by Jesse Sisgold and produces scripted and unscripted programming for the company’s own platforms and third-party media and streaming services, has made three hires.

Stephanie Markman has joined the division as Head of Business and Legal, while Alex Teppel has joined the Board of Directors as Head of Marketing and Partnerships, and KC Warnke has been named Head of Physical Production.

Sisgold shared news of the hires in an internal memo he obtained THR. “Our new division is rapidly establishing itself as a premium destination for sports content and experiences with more than 20 projects greenlit, 10 Sports Emmy nominations, and multiple No. 1 releases across streaming and cable platforms!” books. “Reflecting this momentum, I am pleased to share three key additions to the executive leadership team at Paramount Sports Entertainment.”

Regarding Markman’s role, he said she will oversee all business and legal matters for the studio and “help guide PSE’s growth beyond storytelling into the broader non-live sports entertainment landscape.” She joins us from Hello Sunshine, where she served as General Counsel and Head of Business and Legal Affairs after nearly eight years at Netflix as Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs for Original Series, “supporting early major titles including Strange things and Bridgerton“.

Teppel will oversee marketing, brand strategy and “revenue-generating collaborations.” She most recently served as chief commercial officer on Tim McGraw’s Down Home and previously spent 15 years at Warner Bros. Television. Discovery, where she ended up serving as vice president of network partnerships and brand innovation. “Alex has more than 20 years of experience building content-based revenue and partnership strategies across media and entertainment,” Sisgold highlighted in the memo.

Warnke was tasked with expanding PSE’s production capabilities, “with a focus on script and event production”. He joins the company from Netflix, where he served as Vice President of Original Series Production, overseeing global hits including Strange things, Bridgerton, Dahmer, Mind hunter, Narcosand 13 reasons whyBefore joining Netflix, Warneke served as President of Production at Asylum Entertainment.

“Stephanie, Alex, and KC each bring deep experience building and scaling premium content businesses at the highest level,” Sisgold concluded. “Their leadership will be instrumental in driving our pipeline, expanding partnerships, and supporting our next phase of growth.”
