The Paley Media Center is arranging the pieces for its Paley Honors Spring Gala program.
The event will take place at The Plaza Hotel on New York’s Fifth Avenue on May 14, and will honor Vivendi CEO Arnaud de Puyfontaine, Warner Music Group CEO Robert Kinkel and the popular TV show. Charlie’s Angels With the organization’s Pali Honorary Award. Series stars Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd will be present.
“The Paley Honors Awards celebrate visionaries whose leadership, creativity and transformative ideas have left an indelible mark on our culture,” said Maureen J. Ready, Paley Center President and CEO. “We are proud to honor Arnaud de Puyfontaine and Robert Kinsel and their 50th anniversary Charlie’s Angels With Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd, we look forward to what promises to be an inspiring and unforgettable evening.
Prior to assuming his current role at Vivendi, de Puyfontaine held leadership positions at Le Figaro, Emap Group and Editions Mondadori France. In 2009, he joined Hearst as CEO of its UK subsidiary and Executive Vice President of Hearst International. He has been Chairman and CEO of Vivendi since June 2014.
Kyncl leads global operations at Warner Music Group, which he joined in 2023 after 12 years as YouTube’s chief business officer. Before that, Kyncl worked for seven years at Netflix, where he helped the company transition from mail-order DVDs to streaming. He began his career at J. Michael Bloom’s talent agency, and also worked at HBO International. “It is an honor to receive this honor and I am proud to support the important work this organization does for the media industry, and to foster the dialogue we need as leaders to overcome the challenges of the digital age,” Kinkel said of the Paley Center and his upcoming honor.
Meanwhile, the honor to Charlie’s Angels It comes in the year that marks the fair’s 50th anniversary. (Also noteworthy: The Paley Center is celebrating its 50th milestone this year, too.) According to the organization, the women’s series and its three stars are being celebrated “for their pioneering contributions to the media landscape and their lasting impact on television.”
Proceeds from Paley Honors support the Museum’s educational programs and preservation initiatives within the Paley Archives. More information about the event can be found here.
