Olivia Munn has gotten candid about her experience working with a difficult actor on a previous project.

During his last appearance on The Drew Barrymore ShowThe actress recalled that an unnamed actor refused to film a scene in which her character saved his.

“There were a few times where I was filming something — and my character was either like the CIA, or a cop, or something like that — and there were scenes where my character was the one saving the other character,” Munn explained.

In this specific case, Your friends and neighbors The star said they were filming a gun battle scene in an underground bunker.

“If you read the script, he was guarding his side, I was guarding my side, and then we switched sides, and then there was a guy coming after him — he was going to shoot him in the back — so I shot him,” Moon said. “And then we were about to shoot, and somehow, I think he didn’t read the script and at that moment, he realized: ‘Wait, wait, wait.’ I am waiting. She can’t save me. No no. You can’t save me.”

That’s when her star paused production and got into a “fight with the director” over the scene. Reflecting on the incident and his behaviour, she added: “There was never any insecurity about being obnoxious and everyone hearing this and saying: ‘She can’t save me! We’re not doing this.’

After nearly an hour of back and forth, X-Men: Apocalypse The actress decided to step in with an idea.

“Finally, after about 45 minutes of downtime, I said, ‘Okay, how about instead of my character saving you, we just switch because it’s time for us to switch and so this is the guy I should get,'” she said. “And he was like, ‘Okay.’

However, Munn admitted to hosting Drew Barrymore’s audience, eliciting laughter and cheers from them, “Now, here’s the interesting thing: Nothing has changed. It’s just what he thought. I was doing the exact same thing.”

The actress has previously spoken about other negative experiences she has had with men in Hollywood. Last year, Moon recalled his visit newsroom The director gave her bad notes that she didn’t take, and she later found out that he abused her to prevent her from getting another job. And she still booked the role.

During a recent interview with Hollywood ReporterMoon spoke candidly about what she learned from that experience and trying to advocate for herself in the industry.

“It’s playing the game a little bit more,” she said. “And I should be able to speak for myself and I should be able to draw the line, but we can’t. I can’t change the world and I can’t change the way women have been portrayed and received for as long as we’ve been on Earth. So I knew I was going to handle this situation in a way that was going to be the best outcome for me.”

Moon added: “I used to see a lot of other actors doing that, and I used to think: Why don’t you take the note? I can’t believe you’re that angry.” Then I realized it was a way to protect your art and your personal choices. I hope I’ve helped more actresses learn that.
