Director Lee Isaac Chung has exited Warner Bros. Planned prequel feature Ocean XI ownership.
Chung has been developing the film with the studio and Margot Robbie, who is attached to star Bradley Cooper and producing through her LuckyChap banner. A Warner Bros. representative confirms: that Chung left amicably amid “creative differences”.
A joint statement from Warner Bros. said: And LuckyChap: “Lee Isaac is a unique filmmaking talent, and his vision and partnership have been invaluable to Warner Bros. and LuckyChap along this journey. Our experience with him has only deepened our excitement to collaborate on future projects together.”
Hollywood Reporter It has been exclusively reported that a prequel is planned for 2022, with Jay Roach attached to direct at that time before later exiting. Plot details have not yet been shared for the project, which has a script from Cary Solomon.
