The film explores issues of commitment, social pressure and emotional conflict in present-day India. The report said that the film will provide a new look at love and relationships in contemporary India. The original ‘Salaam-E-Ishq’ features a large ensemble cast, including Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, John Abraham, Vidya Balan, Govinda, Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Akshaye Khanna and Sohail Khan, among others.
Advani is now planning to bring together another prominent multi-generational cast for the sequel. The makers of the film have not announced the cast yet.
The sequel will be anchored in the struggles of modern relationships rather than nostalgia alone, while still carrying the anthology format that shaped the first film.
