Brooklyn Beckham made headlines last January for criticizing his parents – David and Victoria Beckham – for controlling “narratives in the press about our family” and “endlessly trying to destroy my relationship since before my wedding” with Nicola Peltz Beckham, the daughter of corporate raider Nelson Peltz, in 2022.

Now, amid the feud between the Beckham family, A.J New York A magazine profile of the famous soccer player’s eldest son attempts to explain why Brooklyn Beckham is unlikely to leave behind the Beckham Peltz brand any time soon.

“What is undeniable is that in the battle of oligarchy versus fame, Brooklyn is betting on the oligarchy,” the article says, noting that Peltz’s father-in-law’s worth was tied to Forbes About 1.5 billion dollars.

Money and influence of this stature means that Brooklyn Beckham no longer seemingly has to pose for photos alongside his parents and siblings to drive public promotion and endorsements. “His parents know very well that maintaining fame today is an exhausting and constant game, even at the top,” the profile titled “What Broke Beckham” said. Countries. “And why do popular, famous people still have to shoot Uber Eats ads referencing their glory days? Eating fruit snacks at Target?”

In his famous Instagram Story post earlier this year, Brooklyn Beckham called out his family and said he “doesn’t want to reconcile” with them, pleading, “My wife and I don’t want a life shaped by image, press, or manipulation. All we want is… [is] Peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family.

Apparently replacing one rich father with another in the Peltz striker does just that, as the Beckham Peltz brand is now assured of fame and fortune without any inappropriate promotional fanfare. “The Peltzes are so rich they can just about pay for it all — reviews, financial success or public adoration don’t make or break what the Nelson heirs decide to do with their lives,” the feature continues.

The result is Brooklyn Beckham is working on a new restaurant project, Beck’s Buns, and his wife Nicola’s film production company, Bunny Films, is producing two more films. This is just the beginning of his new luxurious life.

“For now, Brooklyn seems content to live as a wife almost full-time. Nicola bought them a new $16 million home in Beverly Hills in 2024. They’ve been vacationing in Montecito and drinking $2,000 bottles of wine. The hostage situation, if it exists, doesn’t seem so bad,” the article concludes.
