Netflix said on Tuesday it was bringing in content from major digital publishers, including… Hollywood Reporter and other Penske Media brands, to its members in the United States and other regions around the world.
The streaming giant has partnered with BuzzFeed, Condé Nast, Hearst Magazines, People Inc and Tastemade, as well as Penske Media’s PMX brands including THR, Billboard, Eater, Indiewire, Rolling Stone and diverse.
The video shows, which range from short three-minute films to 20-minute episodes, will be “discoverable directly from the Netflix homepage” starting August 3. Topics will include travel inspiration, cooking ideas, fashion trends, celebrity profiles, home and gardening tips and viral conversations.
Deals with each publisher include a mix of licensed archives and ongoing series. THR Content provided will include Hollywood firsts, close collaboration, focus on THR and Inside THR.
Other content will include BuzzFeed Celeb content 30 Questions, Vanity Fair‘s polygraph, Architectural abstractQ Walking tour, Harper’s Bazaar‘s Burning questions, Bulletin board‘s 24 hours with, diverse‘s How much do they know?, the people’Q My life in pictures and Travel + entertainment‘s Travel without filter.
The videos will be available to members in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.
“Members don’t just want to watch a show or movie and move on, they want to continue exploring the stories and characters they love long after the final credits have rolled,” said John Derderian, vice president of animated series, kids and family programming at Netflix. “These partnerships help us deepen our fanbase and create more ways for members to carry those stories with them throughout their day.”

Netflix said additional partnerships with publishers will be announced at a later date.
