The CEO has been with the company since 2017 and has risen as the company has grown into original programming.

Emily Feingold, Netflix’s head of communications and press gatekeeper, has abruptly exited after nine years with the streaming giant.
Feingold joined Netflix in 2017 as part of the film leadership team as Netflix rapidly expanded its original film programming. As the company noted, her responsibilities grew alongside Netflix’s growth and expansion, as she eventually oversaw all communications in the US and Canada.
“Emily has been a dedicated member of the Netflix team for eight years, making meaningful contributions throughout her tenure,” said Danny Dudek, chief communications officer at Netflix. “We are extremely grateful for everything she has done for our team and the company, and we wish her every success in her future endeavors.”
Before joining Netflix, Feingold worked at private investment firm Andell as senior vice president of corporate strategy and communications. She also worked at Ralph Lauren and The Weinstein Company. Feingold began her career in communications in Washington, where she worked in the White House during the Clinton administration.
