Netflix already has two new Peaky Blinders series — and a new Duke Shelby series

By order of Netflix, there’s something new Peaky Blinders Upcoming series. Two, actually.

The original Peaky Blindersa BBC-produced series that has done so well on the global streaming service — so well that Netflix has greenlighted an original film as a sequel. The two new series are set 10 years apart Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Manis set six years after the conclusion of the first series.

The new shows are getting a new Duke of Shelby: Jimmy Bell (pictured above, Leave) will take over the role from Immortal manDuke Barry Keoghan (right), who is probably very busy (and/or a very big rising star). News of the new series – and the new Duke – came 13 days later Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man It first appeared on Netflix. It preceded the live-stream debut by two weeks in cinemas.

Charlie Heaton (industry) He will fight alongside Bill/Duke in the Next Generation Peaky gang. Jessica Brown Findlay, Lashana Lynch, and Lucy Karczewski have also been confirmed to join the cast; Netflix said their roles will be determined at a later date.

“In this new era Peaky Blinders“A decade after World War II, the race to rebuild Birmingham has become a brutal contest of epic proportions,” reads the tagline for the news series. “It is a city of unprecedented opportunities and unprecedented dangers. At its bloodstained heart is Duke Shelby: older, wiser, more ambitious and certainly more dangerous.

This Duke is also about an inch shorter, if you believe everything you read online.

The Duke of Shelby is the bastard gypsy son of Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy), the former leader of the Peaky Blinders who is killed in the film (spoiler alert!). Bale is seven years older than Keoghan.

“I am delighted that we are announcing a new era of… Peaky Blinders“, moving the story to post-war Birmingham in the early 1950s,” said Steven Knight, the creator and writer behind the series and film, in a statement. “We’re so lucky to have Jamie Bell taking on the role of Duke, Tommy Shelby’s eldest son, and to have the amazing Charlie Heaton leading the cast as well. There are even more exciting announcements to come, and Becky On the road again.”

The new series will be filmed in Birmingham.
