Neha Dhupia comes out in support of Patralekha after she was body shamed due to post-pregnancy weight gain: 'Fix your mindset'

Actress Neha Dhupia came out in support of Patralekha after the latter faced social media disgrace following his recent public appearance. Patralekha and Rajkummar Rao recently became parents to a baby girl. When the actress was recently spotted at the screening of her film ‘Toaster’, Patralekha was ridiculed and also faced insensitive comments.

While the ‘Citylights’ actress responded to body shaming, Neha Dhupia has now come out in support as well. Neha spoke about the constant and unfair scrutiny that women – especially new mothers – face over their appearance. Taking to Instagram Stories, Neha reshared Patralekhaa’s post and wrote, “Commenting on someone’s body should stop. Especially a new mother who has grown a complete human inside her and is nurturing life with everything she has.”

Before you judge us, fix your thinking… Send love to Patra.”Earlier in the day, Patralekha also spoke about trolling, noting that she is not only adjusting to motherhood, but she is also juggling work commitments, including two film projects.Calling for no sympathy, she wrote, “Cervical pages! What happened to me!? That I just gave birth! Yes, I gained weight, which seems like an abnormal phenomenon to all of you.”

“I didn’t sit down and eat a mountain, I just had a baby and produced two films at the same time, which is not an easy task.”She also stressed that physical changes after pregnancy are completely normal and called for kindness. Patralekha added: “If I could, I wouldn’t be like this. But this is the way my body reacts to pregnancy. For God’s sake, please learn to be a little gentle.”
