Natalie Portman has a baby on the way! The actress is pregnant with her third child, her first with partner Tanguy Destable.The 44-year-old actress confirmed the news in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, saying: “Tanguy and I are very excited.
I’m just so grateful. I know it is a privilege and a miracle.
“Portman’s pregnancy news comes days after the actress was shown showing off her baby bump for the first time. The actress was spotted by paparazzi with what looked like a bump, protected under large jackets. Portman was also spotted with Distable, hiding her baby bump under thick wool sweaters.
Portman’s relationship with Distable was first confirmed in March 2025, after they were linked through French outlet Voici.
The actress is already a mother of two children. She has a son, Aleph, 14, and daughter Amalia, 9, with her ex-husband, Benjamin Millepied. News of her pregnancy comes a year after she finalized her divorce from the director and choreographer.
Although she has largely kept her children out of the public spotlight, Portman has occasionally spoken about their influence on her career choices. The Thor: Love and Thunder star revealed that they encouraged her to take on the role of Mighty Thor.
“I feel like it’s a point in my career where I’m really trying to impress my kids,” she told Variety in June 2022.In a separate conversation with Jenna Ortega for Interview magazine, the actress emphasized her efforts to maintain her children’s privacy. “I’m not a particularly private person in real life — I’ll tell you anything — but in public, it was pretty clear early on that if you told people how private you were, your privacy would be respected a lot,” she explained.
“I set up a little barrier to be like, ‘I’m not going to take pictures with my kids.'”The actress has not yet shared more details about her pregnancy or when the baby will be due.On the work front, Portman will appear in the 2026 black comedy The Gallerist. She also stars in and produces the thriller “Photograph 51.”
