The 2026 Nantucket Film Festival has set its opening, centerpiece and closing screenings and revealed this year’s winners.
The 31st edition of the festival will open with Olivia Wilde Invitationstarring Wilde, Seth Rogen, Penelope Cruz and Edward Norton, which was acquired by A24 from Sundance.
The festival will conclude with a special presentation of the upcoming film Peacock Five star weekend getaway The limited series, based on the novel by Elin Hilderbrand, stars Jennifer Garner, Gemma Chan, Regina Hall and NFF Award-winner Chloë Sevigny. The show, which premieres on Peacock on July 16, was filmed on Nantucket Island and was created, written and produced by Bekah Brunstetter.
This year’s honorees are Paul Feig, with the prolific writer-director receiving the Screenwriters Award; Sevigny, who will receive the Compass Rose Award for Career Achievement; Rashida Jones and Will McCormack, who will be honored with the Special Achievement Award in Screenwriting.
Feig will receive the Visionary Storyteller Award, recognizing his career and storytelling across film and television through projects such as Freaks and Geeks, Bridesmaids, Ghostbusters, Spy and the maid. It is currently in pre-production maid sequel, The secret of the domestic maid.
Jones and McCormack, whose screenwriting credits include The Call, Toy Story 4 and Jesse and Celeste foreverwas also written to pick up the upcoming NFF Centerpiece show on ESPN 30 for 30 Billie Jean King Documentary Give me the ball! Directed by Liz Garbus and Elizabeth Wolf.
Sevigny also produced the documentary for the Grateful Dead fan community Summer tourwhich will be screened at this year’s festival followed by a post-screening conversation with Sevigny. She will also participate in a post-show conversation with Brunstetter and Hilderbrand after the show Five star weekend getaway Show the first episode.

Chloë Sevigny’s bold and enduring career makes her a true embodiment of the Compass Rose Award. We are proud to celebrate their achievements with our festival community.”
Lead Programmer Basil Tsiokos and Lead Programmer Anita Raswant added in their own statement. “This year’s film slate continues to celebrate bold, independent voices close to home and around the world. We invite our audiences to explore a wide range of works that honor the power of storytelling – and, by extension, our shared humanity over the course of our highly curated six-day festival.”
This year’s narrative highlights include Josephine Decker’s collection Summer chasewritten by and starring Iliza Schlesinger; David Wayne Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex CardWritten by Ken Marino. Kent Jones of Late Fame, written by Sammy Burch and Arthur Schnitzler; And Jay Duplass I see you when I see youWritten by Adam Cayton Holland.
Documentary highlights include Ivy Meeropol Ask E. Jane And Dr. Salman Rushdie, directed by Alex Gibney knife.
The festival will also celebrate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States with a six-part documentary series by Ken Burns American Revolution.
The 31st Nantucket Film Festival will be held June 17-22 and presented by Bank of America.
