The NAACP Image Awards continued to announce winners in various non-televised categories ahead of the 2026 NAACP Image Awards ceremony to be held live on Saturday.
On Wednesday, the third and final night of the virtual event hosted by actress and writer Angel “ThatChickAngel” Lakita Moore and actor and rapper Khleo Thomas was broadcast on the NAACP Image Awards’ YouTube channel. Sinnerswhich leads this year’s NAACP Image Awards nominations with 18, has three wins.
The Warner Bros. film won. Written and directed by Ryan Coogler, who has a record 16 Academy Award nominations, with Best Ensemble, Stunt Cast and Cinematography for Dorald Arkapaw’s Autumn.
Other projects that scored multiple wins from Wednesday’s virtual ceremony include: Gracie CornerWhich won the award for Best Children’s Program and Animated Series; Iron heartWinner of the award for Best Editing in a Film, TV Series, Film, or Outstanding and Outstanding Creative (TV); Celebrity family feudwhich won Best Reality or Game Show, with host Steve Harvey named Best Host for a Reality, Variety or Game Show; And Netflix A strawwhich saw Teyana Taylor and Glynn Turman win Best Actress and Supporting Actor, respectively, in a TV Movie, Limited Series or Drama Special.
Another notable win Wednesday night went to the late Malcolm-Jamal Warner, who died last summer, for best guest performance for Fox. Murder in a small town.
Wednesday night’s awards in the film, television and writing categories follow two previous nights of winners presented in non-televised categories during the virtual event. Michelle Obama, Will Packer and Kendrick Lamar at the Super Bowl halftime show were among the winners of the first night. Lamar, SZA and Cardi B were among the night’s winners. Additional winners will be announced during Thursday’s Creative Recognition Ceremony, where Rev. Dr. Jamal Harrison Bryant will be presented with the Mildred Bond Roxborough Social Justice Impact Award. And on Friday, A$AP Rocky will be honored with the Vanguard Fashion Award at the NAACP Image Awards Reception and Fashion Show, hosted by Meagan Good.
The 2026 NAACP Image Awards, hosted by Deon Cole, will air live on Saturday, February 28 at 8:00 PM ET/PT on BET and CBS from the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. Special honorees include President’s Award recipient Viola Davis and President’s Award recipient Colman Domingo. Additionally, Salt-n-Pepa and DJ Spinderella will be inducted into the NAACP Image Awards Hall of Fame.
