Beloved British comedian David Mitchell spoke to him THR On bringing the series to the United States, he returns to Ludwig later this year with co-stars Anna Maxwell Martin, Ralph Ineson, Dylan Hughes, Debo Ola and Dorothy Atkinson, all appearing in photos released to THR Wednesday.

Bin Ashenden (Black mirror) also joined the cast as DC Ethan Cole, alongside Rumi Sutton (After the flood) as DC Caitlin Sullivan. Carl Pilkington reprises his role as DCI Matt Neville.


First batch of Ludwigcreated and written by the Mark Brotherhood, follows Peep show He plays Taylor, a professional puzzle player, whose twin brother James disappears under mysterious circumstances. After John is convinced to assume his brother’s identity to uncover the truth behind his disappearance, his quiet life of designing puzzles and avoiding the outside world is forced to take a backseat when he impersonates James, who happens to be a high-ranking detective leading a major crimes team.
Having started working at the end of season one, John is now a crime scene consultant, working alongside DCI Russell Carter (Ola), on ‘impossible’ crimes for Cambridge Police Authority. “No longer having to disguise himself as his brother, he is more overtly ‘Ludwig’ than ever before—adept at solving puzzles but hopeless at everything else,” the plot summary says.
“But John’s identical twin brother, James, is still missing, and now that he is an official employee of the station, John is forbidden from using any police resources to search for his brother or reveal exactly what he has been investigating.” “Of course, John won’t stop and neither will Lucy (Maxwell Martin), John’s sister-in-law and wife to his missing brother James.
