Another long time ago NCIS Ordinary returns to excellence.
Michael Weatherly, who starred in the first 13 seasons of the long-running CBS drama, will rejoin the cast for the new season. NCIS‘Season 24 in 2026-27. News of his return comes one day after the network announced that Mark Harmon will have an on-camera role for a full season. NCIS: Origins.
Weatherly will also appear throughout the upcoming season NCIS While his character, Tony DiNozzo, reunites with the team in Washington, D.C., Weatherly last appeared in the main series in February 2024, although he and former regular Cote de Pablo starred in NCIS: Tony and Ziva on Paramount+ last year. (This show was canceled after one season.)
Details of the story that brought Tony back into the fold remain secret for now.
Sean Murray, Wilmer Valderrama, Brian Dietzen, Deonna Reasonover, Katrina Law and Gary Cole star in the film. NCIS. Of the current regular cast, Murray and Dietzen are the only ones whose time has overlapped with Weatherly’s on a regular basis. Valderrama joined the series in Season 14, after Weatherly departed to star in another CBS drama, bull.
CBS Studios produces NCIS And all the other shows in the franchise, which will add NCIS: New York To its roster in 2026-27. Executive producers for season 24 are Stephen D. Bender, Chas. Floyd Johnson, Mark Harmon, Scott Williams, Christopher J. Wild, Mark R. Shiels, Jose Clemente Hernandez, Avery C. Drew, Marco Schnabel and Donald P. Bellisario.
